The G2000 ladder rack features a universal mounting design that can be installed using existing roof mounting points on cargo vans; installation typically requires no drilling and can often be completed in only 1–2 hours. On the other hand, installation on KUV bodies, enclosed service bodies, utility service trucks and bucket trucks require drilling the roof to fasten the ladder rack.
The G2000 ladder rack was engineered around ergonomic principles recommended by NIOSH for safer handling of weights at the workplace. The system helps reduce overhead lifting, excessive reaching, twisting motions and other activities associated with heavy weights handling injuries.
The G2000 ladder rack accommodates any fiberglass and aluminium extension ladders, step ladders and specialty ladders used in utility, telecommunications, electrical, HVAC and service industries with the following restrictions: ladder folded maximum length of 20 feet (extended 40 feet) and maximum weight of 132 lbs.
Yes. The G2000 hydraulic-assisted ladder rack allows a single operator to safely load and unload ladders while maintaining an ergonomic working position.
Hydraulic-assisted ladder rack helps improve productivity by minimizing ladder-handling time and reducing physical strain, but the most crucial aspect is to eliminate the riskiest elements involved in moving heavy ladders to and from high roofs by following the NIOSH guidelines - Revised NIOSH Lifting Equation. The use of an ergonomic, hydraulically assisted ladder rack reduces the risk of shoulder and back injuries, which are the leading cause of workplace injuries and working days lost due to nonfatal occupational injuries (Bureau of Labor Statistics).

The standard G2000 Harrier is designed to carry one single ladder or even stack two ladders up to the maximum height of the two retaining loops (maximum thickness of the ladders pack: 9 inches). If the ladders pack is wider, you can use an upgrade kit to carry two stacked ladders (maximum thickness of the ladders pack: 14.5 inches). In addition, two or even three G2000 Harrier heavy duty ladder racks can be installed on the same roof, allowing for a maximum capacity of 6 ladders — 2 ladders stacked on each of the three ladder racks — with a total load capacity of 396 lbs (132 lbs × 3).
The G2000 Harrier features two ladder retaining loops and two horizontal bars that can be independently moved forward or backward to securely fit your specific ladder length. The G2000 Maxi features two ladder retaining loops and two horizontal bars that can be independently moved forward or backward, in addition to a plate with quick-release straps, to securely fit your specific ladder length.
The G2000 Harrier universal ladder rack is optimized for single or two stacked ladders, while the G2000 Maxi aluminium ladder rack is designed to load and unload two ladders side-by-side simultaneously.
Both the G2000 Harrier and G2000 Maxi have a maximum ladder load capacity of 132 lbs.
The G2000 aluminium ladder racks are built using anodized aluminium for corrosion resistance and stainless steel for maximum durability.
This information is typically found in the vehicle's owner's manual or provided by the body manufacturer. It is absolutely necessary to verify that the roof's load-bearing capacity where the ladder rack will be installed is sufficient to support the weight of the G2000 ladder racks plus that of the ladders and any other load secured to the roof, such as crossmembers, conduit carrier and any other accessories.
Roof clearance varies depending on the model (Harrier or Maxi) and the mounting system—whether using bars or just brackets—but ranges from a minimum of 16.36 inches to a maximum of 19.54 inches. View the roof clearance chart
The G2000 ladder rack comes fully assembled. You only need to install the ladder holding systems and then fasten the ladder rack to the three Gentili crossmembers using six U clamps (two for each crossmember). Installing the ladder rack and the Gentili roof rack takes a maximum of 2 hours. If a roof rack from another manufacturer is already installed, the ladder rack can also be secured to it without any problems; however, Gentili’s U clamps need to be replaced with others, for which Gentili will not be liable.
No, both models are a hydraulic-assisted ladder racks with gas springs that support the weight, reducing the strain on the operator's back and shoulders.
No, all operations are performed by the user while standing safely on the ground.
The G2000 aluminium ladder rack is TUV GS certified and has passed crash tests at 31 mph with a 20g force.
No, it is strictly forbidden to climb a ladder while it is positioned on the G2000 ladder racks.
No, the G2000 ladder rack's manual specifies that the vehicle should be on a flat surface to ensure safe operation of the drop-down mechanism.
Yes, the optional Ladder Lock & Hold Down is a stainless steel, height-adjustable locking system that accepts a padlock. Adding the Ladder Lock & Hold Down accessory — which is compatible only with the G2000 Harrier ladder rack — eliminates the need for quick-release straps, making loading and unloading even faster. Moreover, adding an extra padlock — not included with the ladder lock — reduces the risk of the ladder being stolen from the roof.
Yes, an optional 11 feet anodized aluminium conduit carrier is available; the corresponding folder with the specifications is available at gentili.us.com/online-catalogues/.
You should perform an annual check to lubricate the locking mechanism, movement wheels, and gas springs, and verify bolt tightness. The maintenance manuals for the G2000 Harrier and G2000 Maxi ladder racks, in PDF format, are available at gentili.us.com/online-catalogues/ and include both installation and maintenance instructions.
The tightening straps should be replaced every two years or immediately if they show signs of wear.
The G2000 ladder racks come with a 3-year warranty from the date of delivery, provided instructions are followed. The warranty covers only the supply of defective replacement parts and does not cover the labour required for repairs.
The G2000 ladder racks are specifically designed and certified for managing ladders, using it for other purposes is prohibited; these practices are considered improper use, for which the manufacturer assumes no liability and which voids the product warranty.
